What we record
You tell Cangu what your business does and what slows it down; it asks questions back. Here, plainly, is what we do with what you type.
What you tell Cangu
Your messages are read by Cangu — the AI running this chat — to understand your business and reply. Generating replies means sending them to our model provider (currently Anthropic). Tell us as much, or as little, as you like.
What we keep
We store the conversation as you have it, and pull from it a short summary: what your business does, the problem you described, what it costs you, and a sketch of what we might build. Only what you actually said goes in — if you didn’t mention something, we leave it blank rather than guess. A chat you leave partway is kept as far as it got.
Who reads it
Your conversation and its summary go to the small team that runs Canguru, so a person — not only the machine — can decide whether there’s something here worth taking further. Leaving an email or name is optional; it only lets us reach you back. Without it, what we keep stays anonymous, and the chat never depended on it.
Keeping the chat fair
To keep the box working and block abuse, our server briefly holds your network address (IP) and the conversation’s size in memory, then drops them within the hour. That check is separate from the stored conversation — your IP is never kept with the record, and none of it identifies you.
Counting how the page does
We count how a visit goes — arriving, a first message, reaching a summary, sharing a way to reach you, or leaving partway — to see whether the page works. It’s anonymous: no cookies, no profile, nothing that follows you to other sites.
What we don’t do
No ads, no ad trackers, no selling your data, nothing that follows you around the web. And the chat works whether or not you leave any contact details — always your choice.
